Tuesday Four and Wednesday Hodgepodge
Watching TV
1. Do you own a TV or do you have more than one? We have one TV. Is it old fashioned or one of the new wide screens? It's newer and hangs on the wall. It's a decent size and hubby has a sound bar for it because he likes to get the full effect of movies.
1. What's something recent that had you 'tickled pink'? The cute photos my youngest daughter took of our granddaughter for her 5th birthday. They're so cute.
2. A bed of roses, everything's coming up roses, every rose has it's thorn, stop and smell the roses, rose-colored glasses, a rose among thorns...which rosy expression might currently be applied to your life in some way? Hmmm...I'm going to say stop and smell the roses. I really want to not feel so rushed about everything. I want to slow down more and enjoy little things around me.
3. What makes you feel loved and appreciated? I suppose it would depend. Usually the little things; saying thank you, pitching in, helping out, doing what you said you'd do. Also, a little note, card, simple gift, something that says "this reminded me of you".
4. A box of chocolates or a bouquet of fresh flowers-what's your pleasure? Oh man. I do love flowers (an assorted bouquet please), but also don't mind chocolate. Any special plans for Valentine's Day? Nope, no plans. Our grandson has a basketball game in the morning.
5. Share a favorite quote, scripture, or song lyric relating to love. I love this version of 1 Corinthians 13. It's always been a favorite.
Love is predictable and does not behave out of character. Love is not ambitious. Love is not spiteful and gets no mileage out of another's mistakes; it bears no record of wrongs.
1 Corinthians 13:3-8
The Mirror Translation
6. Insert your own random thought here. You know, I'm sure I have random thoughts all the time, I just don't remember them. I will say today I'm struggling to find my motivation and I need to because it's my day off and I have things I need to do...mainly taxes, and try to wash my car. I want to go to the wildlife refuge, but there's a part of me that feels like that would be a waste of my time, even though it's something I enjoy. Ugghhh. I'll let you know next week what I decided.
Here's something somewhat random. I haven't looked this up yet. I'm listening to an audiobook (The boxcar librarian) and they mention creamed eggs on toast. I've not heard of creamed eggs. This morning in one of my FB groups, and on the podcast connected with it, they mentioned creamed eggs. Never heard the term and then twice within 24 hours. Are you familiar with creamed eggs?

We have enjoyed a dish called Eggs a la goldenrod which are a creamy egg dish on top of toast. Those are such great photos of your granddaughter for her 5th birthday. Happy Valentine's day to yo and yours!! Here's a link to eggs ala https://happywonderer.com/2022/02/26/53133/

Never heard of creamed eggs on toast.
ReplyDeleteThose are cute photos of the 5 year old.
My fella has been talking about getting a sound bar for our TV. I am not convinced.
ReplyDeleteAww! Your granddaughter is adorable! Beautiful photos! The only creamed eggs I have heard of are the chocolate one's we get in the UK from Cadbury's.
An instagrammer I follow is always making cream eggs. I haven't tried them but am curious. Your granddaughter is a cutie. I love the picture with the red backdrop. I hope you got to the wildlife refuge. Sounds like so much more fun than taxes : )
