Taking in Life Around Me....#Sundaystills....Red, White and Blue
This #sundaystills challenge is hosted by Terri from Second Wind Leisure. It's a great themed photography challenge that you'll enjoy. I love seeing the other participants interpretation of the theme each week...it causes me to think outside the box. I joined in hopes of it pushing me to get out and take more photos...I have to some degree, but I also like that Terri is okay with us finding photos in our archives, which is also a lot of fun. So check out my photos and then head over to Terri's page to participate or visit other's posts. There are some awesome contributors who always inspire me.
This week is our monthly color challenge and we're doing the good old red, white and blue. I love these colors, in various forms separately, or all together.
I had this great plan to make red, white and blue covered pretzels. I had some melting chocolate and natural food coloring, however, when I added the food coloring, the chocolate seized up. So I just did sprinkles on the white, it worked, and now I know that liquid food coloring is not the right choice as it's water based and reacts negatively with the candy. The recommendation is to use powder coloring or special coloring or candy coating mixtures.
This huge flag flies loud and proud outside our local RV salesroom. There was a possibility it would have to come down, but it's still there.

Outside the fireworks stand our daughter's churches youth group runs. Same one we ran for over 15 years when we were youth pastors there.
This home in our downtown area is one of the older homes and I have always loved it. My daughter actually cleans this house once a month or so, and the family are in a long line of local longtime residents.
This fun car was at the car show during out towns celebration. I loved what they did with the takeout lunch.
We spent the 4th with my oldest daughter and son in law, their kids and some of their friends. These coke bottles were in the cooler. I don't drink pop but this was a fun bottle.
She scored this outdoor rug at Costco. Too bad I didn't have time to go get one for myself.

For fun, I threw this one in. I had shared it on my IG regarding big 80/90's hair. I realized we were wearing a combo of red/white/blue.
