Taking in Life Around Me.....#SundayStills: It's a zoo out there

This #sundaystills challenge is hosted by Terri from Second Wind Leisure. It's a great themed photography challenge that you'll enjoy. I love seeing the other participants interpretation of the theme each week...it causes me to think outside the box. I joined in hopes of it pushing me to get out and take more photos...I have to some degree, but I also like that Terri is okay with us finding photos in our archives, which is also a lot of fun. So check out my photos and then head over to Terri's page to participate or visit other's posts. There are some awesome contributors who always inspire me.

This weeks challenge is our animal of the month, and Terri would love for us to share photos of animals that would be found on a farm or in a zoo. I'm going with zoo. Both the Oregon Zoo and the Fort Worth Zoo.

We visited the Oregon Zoo in 2024 and the Ft. Worth Zoo in 2020. Both are great zoos. But boy have entry fees gotten expensive. Yikes.

I love that the Oregon zoo has so many neat "photo opportunity" spots. The grandkids loved them all.

I do not like spiders, but this one is pretty cute!

Taking in the view!
This elephant was awesome. So much fun to watch.

Throughout the zoo there are many interactive spots like this one. There's another that you can spread your arms and check your wingspan.

One thing I loved about the Ft. Worth Zoo (which I don't have photos of), are all the forest like areas (which I'm sure is to help provide shade in the hotter months).

With Joy Unquenchable,
Kirstin
