Tuesday Four...The Four Seasons

Four Seasons, Four Questions

It's time again for Tuesday 4 hosted by Anne from Cottage by the sea.

Published each week in memory of Toni Taddeo, it's original author. We keep Toni Taddeo's original idea alive here with 4 questions each week to get you blogging, visiting and  learning about yourself and other bloggers. The more people join in, the merrier and the better it gets. We are always looking for topics, subjects and ideas so feel free to chime in if you have idea.

Here are some questions for you.....

1. Do you have a favorite day of the week and how about  a favorite month of the year?  Why? Oh my!!! Favorite day might be Tuesdays (I get to hang with my grandkids), and also Wednesdays (it's my day off to do whatever I want or need to do). Favorite month, I'm going with December because I love all things Christmas, cozy, and winter (even though we rarely get snow)!

2. What’s the most beautiful or magical thing about each of the four seasons?

Winter: Snow..if we actually got some. But I love having a fire going in the gas fireplace and being cozy inside. I love Christmas decorations and twinkling lights. I love the holiday spirit.

Spring: I love the signs of new life. We get a ton of rain which I'm not a fan of, but new buds on trees, baby birds and animals, new plants coming up from the ground.

Summer:  What's not to love. Sunshine, blue skies, warmer temps (though hopefully not too warm), less rain. Plants in full bloom, fruits and vegetables ripening, fires in the backyard making s'mores and roasting hot dogs.

Fall: My favorite things are fall leaves, warm drinks, pumpkin patches! The first fires in the gas fireplace, maybe a candle lit.

3. Summer is coming... what does this mean in your life? It means enjoying more time outside. I love all the flowers blooming in my side bed, and the hanging baskets on the porch. To be honest, most of the time, days go on like any other day...I work 3 days a week, watch the kids one day, etc...We don't necessarily take more vacations than any other season. We don't head out to the lakes or rivers on weekends or camp. Mostly it's just enjoying longer days and nicer weather. We hit the farmers markets, hike, etc. How will things change, stay the same ,etc? Most things don't change.

4. What do you look forward to in each season? I feel like I answered this one already, but in the fall I love working for the local pumpkin patch owned by my son in laws family. In winter I look forward to all the Christmas decor and cozy lights. Fires in the fireplace. In summer, I look forward to enjoying my flowers, listening to the birds, perhaps hiking, visiting my aunts in Ohio, etc. In spring, I look forward to all the new signs of life.

With Joy Unquenchable,
Kirstin

  1. Enjoyed your answers. Being retired, every season has its beauty and every day has meaning. I just never realized any of that back when I was younger.
