Tuesday Four...In Like a Lion, Out Like a Lamb
In Like a Lion- Out like a Lamb
They say March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb.
March 29-31 are the "borrowing days" when weather is traditionally rough or stormy and the month was named for Mars the god of war because March was the time for the start of wars.
1. What brings out the lion in you? When people are unkind or rude. When I feel like someone is being mistreated. What brings out the lamb? My family and my grandkids. Also just being out in nature is calming to me.
2. What are you enjoying in terms of TV, movies or books right now? I really enjoy When Calls The Heart and there's a new one called Nelly Knows Mysteries. I haven't watched many movies. I always have several books going. I just finished The Stolen Life of Collette Marceau for a pass along book club and that was really good. I'm currently reading A Botanists Guide to Parties and Poisons, and I need to start an ARC I received by one of my favorite cozy mystery authors.
3. It's Spring now... are you happy to see it come? I am so happy spring is here. Though often in my region of the PNW it means rain, it also means things are blooming. Will you be going out more? Yes, if it's not raining!
4. Create an ideal weather scenario for each season.. the perfect weather for summer, spring, autumn and winter.
Summer: Temps would be in the mid. to upper 70's, maybe 80, but no hotter. Blue skies, if it rains, it will only rain at night while we all sleep in order to keep things from being fire hazards, leaving the days to be sunny and warm. Nights would be fires in the fire pit (no burn bans)
Spring: Temps in the 50's and 60's. Clear skies, minimal rainy days, again, can it just rain during the night when we're sleeping. Frogs croaking and birds singing are daily sounds. Lots of fresh blooms to be seen.
Fall: Crisp air, mild temps, maybe back in the 50's, sometimes 60's. Clear skies, beautiful colored leaves. Some wind to blow the leaves around, perhaps a few blustery storms so we can be tucked in by the fire.
Winter: Crisp days and nights, plenty of blue skies, some snow, but not an overwhelming amount (we had NO snow this year at all where I live, so I'd like a little bit). NO freezing rain (we didn't have any of that this year, thankfully). Maybe a few storms to keep us hunkered in with a good hot meal and a fire, but nothing damaging.

When I liked in the Silicon valley the weather was 70-80 just about year round. Beautiful. Enjoyed your answers! Have a wonderful week enjoying this beautiful spring weather.
ReplyDeleteI agree that spring is my favourite season because of all the new growth. I like your descriptions of perfect seasons. Enjoy your spring.. today we had hail where I live, now the sun has come out and the sky is trying to clear.
