Taking in Life Around Me.....Storm

This #sundaystills challenge is hosted by Terri from Second Wind LeisureIt's a great themed photography challenge that you'll enjoy. I love seeing the other participants interpretation of the theme each week...it causes me to think outside the box. I joined in hopes of it pushing me to get out and take more photos...I have to some degree, but I also like that Terri is okay with us finding photos in our archives, which is also a lot of fun. So check out my photos and then head over to Terri's page to participate or visit other's posts. There are some awesome contributors who always inspire me.

I chuckled when I saw Terris theme for this week and wondered if she jinxed the weather, since quite a bit of the country was due to be hit by a storm. I have several family members in various states. Thankfully none lost power but it was sure cold.

I love a good storm, but rarely seem to be out in them.

When we were in Colorado the weather was amazing. However, we did have a few days with stormy skies and rain. The clouds were crazy, and I could only capture some through the car window.

You guys, that is a cloud out the front windshield, and no joke, it looked just like that...it was crazy. I took the below image out my hubby's window while he was moving, so not the best but boy was it cool.

The photo above and below were minutes apart...the one below I took a screen shot from a video, but the sky was literally split in half like it shows. So weird. Storms can be pretty cool.

More Colorado skies...

After we arrived home from Colorado, I walked the Great Columbia Crossing with my MIL and her friend. The weather was NOT on our side..it rained almost the entire time except maybe the last few miles. We were cold and we were wet. I do not know why my lips look I had failed botox in the top photo.

We had a few stormy days at the pumpkin patch, but it didn't keep people from coming out.

December of 2024 we went to Seabrook for my birthday weekend..there was a pretty good windstorm the night we arrived and we had lost power for several hours. The morning skies were cool though.

I captured a few photos from my daughters new property. A rainbow in the upper photo and the sky from the road above their property.

Stormy cloud from our back yard.

With Joy Unquenchable,
Kirstin

Wow, Kirstin, that first shot is a doozie! I've never seen the sky split like that. Great storm shots all around! Love the rainbow over the ocean!
