10 on the 10th Valentines Edition
I'm jumping into 10 on the 10th....barely. Hosted by Marsha in the Middle.
Would you rather.....
1. Celebrate Valentine's Day at a cozy restaurant or at home cozied up in your favorite jammies? Normally I'd stay home, BUT if we could find a place that wasn't crowded, then I'd go for that. We are actually going out to eat on the 15th. On the 14th my youngest daughter is having a group of other single gals over and that's always fun to be home for.
2. Eat red velvet cake or wear red velvet. I'm going with Red Velvet cake because I'd probably sweat to death wearing something red velvet. I'd want homemade red velvet and I would use something else other than the red food dye since that is horrible stuff.
3. Receive a heart shaped box of candy or a heart shaped piece of jewelry? Well, I'm not a fan of heart shaped jewelry, like rings or necklaces, so maybe earrings would be good. I wouldn't mind the box of candy, but more often than not I don't like the majority of flavors in them so unless they could be custom filled boxes, I'll take a pair of heart shaped earrings.
4. Eat Reeses Pieces or a Reeses Peanut Butter Heart? Reeses Peanut Butter Heart for sure!!! YUM!!
5. Watch a Valentines Day themed movie or an action movie? I'm going with Valentines Day Themed Movie, but not too cheesy, but also needs to be clean...haha.
6. Give a box of chocolates to your person or a less than wonderful homemade card? Homemade card because my hubby isn't a huge fan of chocolate and sweets.
7. Go to Tahiti or Iceland for Valentines Day? Well, we've always said we want to go to Iceland, but I googled Tahiti and I think I might choose that one.
8. Sing "at last" by Etta James or "I don't want to miss a thing" by Aerosmith to your person? Well I have never heard of the song by Etta James, and I do like the Aerosmith song, so I think I'd go with that one because I could also be "dramatic" singing it..haha.
9. Celebrate Valentines Day for a week or not at all? I'm not one that feels like we have to celebrate holidays on their day, and I feel like Valentines Day hasn't been a hugely celebrated in our house...haha. But it would be kind of fun to think of a fun way to celebrate it for a week with simple things.
10. Eat a really sour piece of candy or a single Brussels Sprout dipped in chocolate? I like brussels sprouts, but I'm going with the sour candy.

I love, love, love your answers! You have definitely joined in on the spirit of the game! I will always choose the themed Reeseās peanut butter things because the pieces donāt have enough peanut butter! And, Iād love to see your rendition of the Aerosmith song!! Thanks for linking up! I hope youāll join me next month, too. Who knows what Iāll do with that!

It was fun reading. your answers. I'm not a singer, but maybe if it was just me and the hubs. I think we'd both be laughing by the end.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on many of these! Regarding red velvet cake, it's not like you'd even need any kind of dye- it's just since the cake has the name "red" in it, it seems like it should have a red hue. But it doesn't need to! The travel choice is a hard one! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteWithout the red dye it's just a chocolate cake... which yep, tastes just as good without the dye!
DeleteWe don't feel the need to celebrate on the actual day either; though I do try to buy each of the boys (and my husband) a favorite treat/chocolate something and have it waiting at "their" seat at the table when they get up but it's not like they'd say no thanks if I gave it to them ahead of time or afterwards. Funny enough that I was listening to Aerosmith as I was reading this blog post today (not that song though; that would have been freaky).
ReplyDeleteLoved all your answers and mine were very similar. I did chose the Etta James song though, and I posted it on my blog if you want to hear it. NOT sung by me though! LOL Hope you're having a great weekend!
