There's no Place Like Home

My hubby and I left on Monday with our Senior Pastors and flew off to Redding, CA for a Leaders Advance Conference. We came home today. While I loved the conference and more than that loved spending time with our Pastors, it is so nice to be home.

I will say that flying is just not comfortable!!! Not only that, but Portland no longer has direct flights to Redding. Our choices were to fly to Seattle, then to Redding, or fly to San Francisco and then to Redding. We chose the latter, though we all decided we probably would have been better off just driving. What used to take us an hour and twenty minutes, has turned into 4-5 hours of travel (and not in comfort). Driving would have taken us about 8 hours, but at least we would have been more comfortable, could have stopped to eat, sight see, stretch...

While there, we stayed in a Bed and Rest. What is that you might ask? It is a home that offers all the amenities of a B & B, but they do not provide breakfast. They have coffee for everyone but you are free to bring your own food and snacks if you want to cook for yourself and not eat out all the time.

The conference was amazing, the fellowship with our pastors (who are also great friends) was so fun, and we had a wonderful friend staying with our girls, so everyone had fun! I am so happy to be home though. Laundry is being done, hubby has taken the girls to soccer practice and I have some time to post here and even get caught up with all of you.

Stay tuned in just a bit, I'm going to host a give-away for Mothers Day.

With Joy UNquenchable,
