Taking in Life Around Me....#Sundaystills....Pets and Kids

This weeks theme for #SundayStills is "#kids and #pets".  I'm so glad I found this challenge by Terrie from Second Wind Leisure. Find her current post here. I've also been loving visiting the blogs of the other participants and being inspired by their interpretations of the theme.

I was trying to find a few other photos, but man, it's been a long week and I'm tired, so I just went with what I could quickly find. I have been blessed to raise two amazing daughters, babysit some amazing kiddos and now get to be Nonni to two beautiful kiddos.

Growing up, we had multiple pets, from chickens to rabbits, dogs, cats, and a horse (more my sisters), as well as a parakeet I think. Unfortunately I can't find photos of any of those. I've always been a pet lover, my husband, not so much. Plus with our busy schedules I've never thought it would be fair to an animal if I couldn't give them the attention they deserve. Our daughter however did get a lab a few years before she got married, and we do have an outdoor cat right now.

Enjoy the few photos I found. Do you enjoy perusing your archives as much as I do? So fun to relive memories.

Our girls in 2008 at Disney World. They have always been amazing sisters and friends.

Our youngest is now 22!

Our oldest is 25 and an amazing mama of two cutie pies. I'm so proud of the women my girls have grown into.

My daughters lab, Benelli. This was probably in 2015.

My oldest daughter when she was maybe 3, with my parents dog Shelby.

This pup belongs to my hubby's boss. My daughter was house/dog sitting one time and I went up to let the dog out and water plants....such a pretty boy.

Our outdoor kitty Blitz. He pretty much does what he wants...lol. He's sweet in his own way.

In 2018 my daughter and son in laws dogs had pups, they kept this one...my grandsons name is Indiana....they named the dog Jones. However when they moved to Texas, they had to find him a new home.

Indiana and Blitz. If you're lucky, he (the cat) decides he likes you and will let you pet him.

My two favorite littles right now!!!! Indiana and Pepper!

With Joy Unquenchable,
Kirstin

  1. How lovely to see your beautiful family interacting with all your pets! Great pictures that capture the love and fun! Your daughter is quite beautiful and I'm a hair jealous that you have grandkids, Kirstin! My youngest plans to have a couple, but wants to get married to her fiance first. In due time. It really is fun to peruse through archives and look back at wonderful photos of our families. thanks for sharing your heart!

  4. Aw, so many sweet, sweet photos! I have been moving all our old photos out of the albums (that are falling apart) and putting them into photo storage cases and I am having so much fun looking back at photos from 17 years ago!

  5. What lovely photos! Isn't it nice to go through old photo archives. I've been doing that lately too, to re-organise them, and now to find material for my photography blog. I have a fantastic archive of nice memories there!
Thanks for visiting my blog, and your comment made me finally look for a way to be able to comment on Blogger blogs. No browser has worked so far, so I decided to try Chrome. I'm not a Google fan, but I'm happy to have it installed so that I can use it for blog comments!

    1. I'm glad it worked. I've been a bit frustrated that I haven't been able to do the pingback thing with word press since I have blogger and It always makes me log in with facebook...well, I don't really use FB much for my blog so that was a bummer. I don't necessarily feel like trying to figure out how to move to word press or perhaps I just need to start a whole new blog...who knows. We'll see. Thank you for visiting. I appreciate it.
