Ultimate Blog Party & A Birthday Party

Hey gals, Check out the Ultimate Blog Party at 5 Minutes for mom. To get there either click the widget on my side bar or the above link. Though I've been having trouble accessing it last night and this morning. I'll admit I'm not all too sure what it entails, but hey it looks like a lot of fun and I like to socialize and check out new blogs. Hopefully I have time. We have been super busy and so not much time at the computer. I'm tellin ya, I don't know the first thing (The Blog Party that is) about this thing and most of you seriously go all out. Sheesh! The three prizes I'd most like to win are: #112 from Mocha with Linda #100 from Jill-inc #91 from geggie I also wouldn't mind winning #67 and #60. All the prizes looked cool, but many were for babies or things I just don't do. I loved the arbonne ones, but couldn't figure out how to enter those..there was no link. So if anyone knows, let me in on it. The blog party runs from March 7th-14th. It's a perfect day to start it on...March 7th, my Nan's 9th birthday. And we are having a birthday sleepover! Whoo Hoo. She (Nan) is soooo excited for this birthday. It will be her first sleepover and she is having 5 friends spend the night. She has also invited some of the young adults from our church. It will be hosted at grandmas' house, since where we live isn't very conducive to a sleepover. Today the girls were over there decorating. It looks soo great. She had a blast picking out what she wanted to do, how she wanted to decorate and what she wanted to eat. She picked out all her goodies at the dollar tree for her gift bags. On the menu is homemade pizzas and salad. Cupcakes that will having frosting "grass"and sprinkles and KAT has the job of turning peppermint patties into soccer balls that will stand up in the grass. Do you know how hard it is to find soccer decor in the spring, and I forgot to look while at the craft store. So we will improvise. They also will have popcorn, pretzels, oranges, kettle chips, Jones Berry Lemonade soda and sparkling water. For breakfast they will feast on homemade cinnamon rolls. They will watch movies, play games, and at 10:00 on Saturday morning I will probably gladly send them home with goodie bags in their little hands. I spent today shopping for gifts and buying food. I'm pooped. I didn't find everything I wanted (yes I procrastinated so I can't complain) so with the leftover money we will just go shopping together. I actually was buying for both girls. Kats birthday was in November, but we weren't able to get her any gifts so we got her some today. She opened them this evening. Tomorrow they begin our sheetrock on our house. Yeah. By next week I will have a totally different looking house. I can't even imagine what it will look like. I'm eagerly anticipating it. Yesterday afternoon Nan and I went up to burn some cardboard and I just sat on my "porch" and made my list for her birthday. It felt so good to just sit there with the sun on my face. I will be sure to post pictures of the party and of the sheetrock.

  2. Janelle,
I took the picture of the tulips last year at our local tulip festival. They have the most amazing array of tulips and colors. I take the girls every year. They have a display garden now so you can wander through the rows and take pictures of your little ones or yourself amongst the tulips.

  14. Fellow homeschooler, here. ;) Nice to meet you. I'm so jealous that you live in WA. ;) I had family up there long ago. I spent a few summers in the blissful 70 degree sunshine and drove in to Canada under those redwoods. It was magical. ;)
