Taking in Life Around Me.....#sundaystills

This #sundaystills challenge is hosted by Terri from Second Wind Leisure. It's a great themed photography challenge that you'll enjoy. I love seeing the other participants interpretation of the theme each week...it causes me to think outside the box. I joined in hopes of it pushing me to get out and take more photos...I have to some degree, but I also like that Terri is okay with us finding photos in our archives, which is also a lot of fun. This weeks theme is our animal or bird of the month. I am an animal lover. I'm going to try and stay focused on this with one animal...haha. One of my favorite animals is the horse. They are such magnificent and beautiful creatures. 

This week our challenge is insects. 

I spotted this bug on the outside of our building at work. He was huge. I don't have small thumbs.

On a 2023 trip to the NE States we visited the Magic Wings Butterfly Observatory. These bugs were on display. This place is so amazing and fascinating. There are many displays of both live and dead insects, and a beautiful atrium where butterflies flutter and a "nursery" where you can watch them emerge from their "beds".

Oops I did not get these in order so the rest of them will be towards the bottom. 

I am fascinated by insects on flowers. So pretty to see them exploring or working hard. 

I spotted this bee hive at the back of my aunts property and it was fun watching these busy little guys. 

Enjoy the remaining photos. All of the butterflies except the last one were at the Magic Wings Observatory. I have to head off to work and want to get this post finished. The weekend didn't quite go as planned so I'm behind on many things.
