Taking in Life Around Me....#CFFC challenge: Crayola Black

I thought I would join in a new photo challenge now hosted by Dan from No Facilities, called the CFFC (Cees Fun Foto Challenge). Cee passed away and Dan has decided to carry on the challenge. Yay! I'm not sure if I'll get around to posting every week, and I'll probably try to find ways to join it with other posts, we'll see. I need things to challenge me to get out more with my camera.

These week is continuing with the Crayola box of colors, and the color is black. 

For this week I'm going with one of my favorite birds, the Red Winged Blackbird, and a new favorite, the Raven. 

These first three photos were taken on Kelleys Island, Ohio. I was hoping to spy and photograph some cardinals, but no luck. There's never an absence of these blackbirds. 

The next four were taken at our local wildlife refuge. 

A wildlife photographer I follow has shared some photos of Ravens and I've been fascinated. We don't have any in our general area where I live but I know they are around more in the hills. When I went to Canada with my daughter in March we spotted a pair, and this guy was very cooperative. I now think they are so so cool.
