Tuesday Four....So Tell Me

So Tell Me....

It's time again for Tuesday 4 hosted by Anne from Cottage by the sea.

Published each week in memory of Toni Taddeo, it's original author. We keep Toni Taddeo's original idea alive here with 4 questions each week to get you blogging, visiting and  learning about yourself and other bloggers. The more people join in, the merrier and the better it gets. We are always looking for topics, subjects and ideas so feel free to chime in if you have idea.

This week's questions come from Sparky! I hope you enjoy doing them.

Let's talk about you .....

1. Music. What kind of music do you enjoy? I enjoy a variety of genres. My playlist is pretty eclectic. I will say I don't enjoy opera or heavy metal/hard rock.  Are you musical? I would say I am. I played the flute for a long time and I was decent. I can carry a tune and sing. I used to be on the worship team at the church we went to for awhile. I wish I had learned to play piano and I always wanted to play the drums.

2. Travel. Where have we been? I love to travel (though not a fan of flying...I do it because it gets me where I want to go). My hubby and I area able to do a bit more traveling now that he has a job that provides more income and we've always been good at saving.  I have been to Switzerland, Italy, Mexico, Canada (BC and Alberta), New York, several places throughout Oregon and Washington (where we live), Hawaii, Texas, Florida, Ohio, Indiana, Colorado, Nevada, Palm Desert, all throughout the NE States. I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting. I'm grateful for the opportunities. I do have many saved on a trip tab here on the blog.

What's your favorite destination(s)? Well, I absolutely loved Italy, but I equally loved our NE states trip and Colorado. I think there is something I've loved about each place we've been and I honestly don't know if I'd say I have a favorite destination. And there are so many places I still want to see.

3. Occupations. Did you end up working at what you wanted to be? I'm not sure I ever truly knew what I wanted to be. I thought I wanted to be a librarian or teacher and then I thought a Physical Therapist might be something I'd like. I didn't do any of them. I went to Bible College and then got married. I worked for a heating and cooling company until I had my girls and then I stayed home. We were youth pastors also for almost 20 years. Now I work for a private mailbox facility where I would say I work in a customer service role, but I love it.

Do you wish you'd done something else, if so, what? etc. I still think I would've enjoyed being a librarian, or it would be neat to own a bookstore/coffee shop.

4. How do you keep from being bored?  I don't think I'm ever bored. I have a lot of interests and things I enjoy. I love working jigsaw puzzles, and reading. I have a lot of game apps on my phone that I love playing, as well as playing actual games with fmaily and friends. I enjoy blogging, cooking, baking, and photography. I spend a lot of time with my grandkids and I work 3 days a week.

Thank you for joining in each week. You have made this such a wonderful experience and I know Toni, in whose memory we continue, would be pleased as punch.

With Joy Unquenchable,
Kirstin

  1. I have considered working in a library when I retire a few days a week. We will see. I love reading. I just don't think I would be able to continue teaching. It takes a lot of energy.
I am so glad you get to travel. My husband will not take off to travel. I am so glad I am reading none of you guys get bored either. I don't understand how anyone could get bored. There is so much to do. Loved your answers! Have a nice week.
