Taking in Life Around Me...#lens-artist Challenge. The letter B

This weeks Lens-Artist Challenge prompt is hosted by Beth at Wandering Dogs
The theme is the letter B. Oh boy. There are so many photos...how do I choose...Bridges, Butterflies, Birds, Bees and barns. Maybe a few of each, maybe focus on one. How to decide. I'm going with bridges, butterflies and bees But I'll save the others for another day.

I have a love of bridges, well, except for ones that challenge my fear of heights, but even then I might be persuaded to walk on one.

While traveling the NE States, we spotted this old unused train tracks. I loved it with all the fall colors.

We were in Plymouth/Plimoth, MA we walked around the harbor and spotted this boardwalk. The evening was beautiful and we couldn't believe all the boats anchored there.

You can't visit the NE States without visiting covered bridges. We visited quite a few. I have posts about this trip on my trips tab. This bridge was taken in Lyme, NH.

Closer to home, this is one a several bridges that span a local lake. Lake Sacajawea in Longview, Washington which sports beautiful colors year round, wildlife and over 3 miles of walking paths in the middle of the city.

The Moulton Falls bridge is a beautiful bridge in Clark County Washington near where I live. It is popular for photos but also people jumping off it into the pool below despite signs stating not to. It made news several years ago when a group of young people were on it, and when a girl hesitated to jump another girl pushed her, resulting in multiple injuries from the unplanned impact into the water.

The Washington and Oregon Coast (I'm thankful I don't live too far from either one), boast many bridges as well. Above is a bridge in Depoe Bay, Oregon where many fishing boats come in and out of.

Below is the Astoria Bridge that spans the Columbia River, just before dumping into the Pacific Ocean. Every year there is a Great Columbia Crossing 10K that starts on the Washington side, and crosses the bridge (a good 4 miles in length). I've done this twice with my MIL and a friend of hers. It's kind of crazy. They shut the bridge down to traffic for 2 hours.

Finally I'll close this out with butterflies and bees. The first three were taken at the Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory in South Deerfield, Maine. What a cool place to visit. I took so many photos and videos.

The above butterfly was taken on my hanging baskets. I love when butterflies visit and it's not very often. I'm wanting to plant more things that will draw them to our yard.

Not sure where I spotted this mural. I think it was somewhere in Vancouver, Wa when I went on a mural drive.

These beehives were on my aunts vineyard property on Kelleys Island, Ohio. I paused to take a few photos when a cardinal eluded me.
A bee on my chive blossoms and below on some other herb blossoms.

With Joy Unquenchable,
Kirstin
