Taking in Life Around Me.....#Sundaystills....Let's Go Ride a Bike!

This #sundaystills challenge is hosted by Terri from Second Wind Leisure. It's a great themed photography challenge that you'll enjoy. I love seeing the other participants interpretation of the theme each week...it causes me to think outside the box. I joined in hopes of it pushing me to get out and take more photos...I have to some degree, but I also like that Terri is okay with us finding photos in our archives, which is also a lot of fun. So check out my photos and then head over to Terri's page to participate or visit other's posts. There are some awesome contributors who always inspire me.

This week it's all about bike riding! I know that there are many people who aren't a fan, or possibly have never learned. I, on the other hand, loved riding bikes. My family does too so be prepared for a lot of photos. You can scroll fast if you want. I captioned some, but I need to get to bed so I can get up early to catch a flight to the midwest tomorrow.

When I was in Jr. High (I think), I decided to try BMX racing. I really enjoyed it. I even won a few races. Nothing fancy, no uniform, but it was fun.
When we go to Sunriver, we LOVE riding bikes. Sunriver has over 30 miles of paved bike trails and there are other trails that lead outside Sunriver to local waterfalls, etc. This was back in 2013 I think. We went for a week vacation and also had a soccer tournament in Bend.

This past May we took the whole family to Sunriver for several days. I didn't do as much bike riding as I normally would but we did have some fun when we did.

It was so fun riding with the grandkids. We've looked forward to the time when we could experience Sunriver with them. I the top and bottom photo, I asked Pepper to take a picture of me. Since I'm always the one with the camera I thought I'd see if she could pull it off. She did great.

When we were in NYC in 2017 we spotted rows of these guys waiting to take someone for a ride.

When we were on Kelley's Island several years ago, the girls loved taking the bikes for rides around the island.
In the town my daughter and son in law lived in there was a great bike track. On one day we were there some local police officers on their bike came and were riding. He thought that was pretty cool.
He was maybe 4 here riding his Stacyc electric bike.

Dirt bikes have always been a part of our son in laws life so it is now a part of our daughters life. We enjoy watching them ride too.

Riding bikes at their new house.

Little sister riding her first big kid bike on the farm. Big brother was cheering her on.

This bike was so neat outside a photography shop in one of the small Colorado mining towns we visited.

And how about this bike...check out the gun holder on the other side.

With Joy Unquenchable,
Kirstin
