Taking in Life Around Me.....#flowerhour
My blogging friend Terri has started a new photo challenge #flowerhour and I may try to join in each week. She'll post every Tuesday.
Yesterday (Tuesday) I went down to our local wildlife refuge to try and spot some wildlife. It is such a peaceful drive and I love taking in the sights and sounds. I also spotted some plants and trees in bloom.
I'm not sure what this tree was but it was pretty!
I have always loved cattails. AI says that cattails are technically the flower and seed head of the plant. They are a great sitting place for birds, especially red wing blackbirds. I love their song by the way.

I just had to share this one last photo. My hubby bought the flowers on gas stove for our Easter table, but then my youngest daughter brought home the yellow roses because Easter also fell on my mom birthday this year and she's been gone for 22 years. The card said "Happy Birthday Nannie". So special.
