Taking in Life Around Me.....#Sundaystills: Spring

This #sundaystills challenge is hosted by Terri from Second Wind LeisureIt's a great themed photography challenge that you'll enjoy. I love seeing the other participants interpretation of the theme each week...it causes me to think outside the box. I joined in hopes of it pushing me to get out and take more photos...I have to some degree, but I also like that Terri is okay with us finding photos in our archives, which is also a lot of fun. So check out my photos and then head over to Terri's page to participate or visit other's posts. There are some awesome contributors who always inspire me.

Terri is taking some time off and so she has a few other bloggers jumping in to help out, this week is being hosted by Susanne from Cats and Trails and Garden Tales. Friday was the first day of spring so our theme this Sunday is Spring Equinox.

In my part of the PNW spring showed up rainy, however, we are having a few days of nicer weather before it rains again for another few days. It will be off and on like this for the next month or so. I snapped a few pics from around our yard. I have been seeing the cherry blossoms blooming but haven't snapped any pics yet.

My forsythia blooms nicely in March. I wish they lasted longer than they do.

At the front of my driveway is a patch that has a hodgepodge of things. It has several spring blooming flowers (I shared the above one last week for Flower hour). I love seeing them when I pull in and out of my driveway.

My mother in law and. her friend went on a walk and stopped by with a bouquet of daffodils. I teased them the first time they showed up, asking who's yard they robbed. Turns out it's an open field with blooms.

I don't typically decorate for spring/Easter, but I LOVED these eggs I found at a local vintage shop. I want to find something different to display them in, but for now they're in a wooden bowl.

With Joy Unquenchable,
Kirstin

  1. Gorgeous forsythia! I planted one last year, it's still small but about to bloom!
