Taking in Life Around Me.....Flower Hour Photo Challenge

"The earth laughs in flowers"
~Ralph Waldo Emerson

My blogging friend Terri has started a new photo challenge #flowerhour and I may try to join in each week. She'll post every Tuesday.

I know we're in the midst of winter, but I always look forward to spring. In our part of the PNW where the winters are mild, we still might get snow, but usually after so many dreary and wet days (and we've had a lot of them lately), I'm ready to start seeing signs of spring. I mean, either snow, or bring on spring. The last week and a half we've had dry weather (which we need). Cold, sunny, blue skies (dreamy).

Today I walked to the front of our driveway and spotted these guys popping up through the ground. Everything in it's time. I needed this little sign!

"I glanced out the window at the signs of spring. The sky was almost blue, the trees were almost budding, the sun was almost bright.
