Taking in Life Around Me...Flower Hour Photo Challenge
My blogging friend Terri has started a new photo challenge #flowerhour and I may try to join in each week. She'll post every Tuesday. I think I'll keep it simple, with just one or two photos.
In late September-early October we visited Colorado. It is stunning. I'm currently working on some posts about our trip. I think I have three up on the blog. Since, I'm still thinking of Colorado, I thought this week I'd share just a couple photos from that trip.
While we visited a local ranch for lunch one day, I spotted these dried flowers. I thought they were so cool. I'm sure many people would have walked right past this, thinking of them only as dead, dried up nothing worthy of a photo. I, on the other hand, jump at the opportunity to photograph anything that catches my eye and don't get in my way!
While visiting the town of Palisade, we stopped in at a little gift shop...this display was out front...isn't it just beautiful? People are so creative.
I will always stop to photograph flowers given the opportunity, sometimes much to my family's dismay! I recently saw a post by a photographer that said those who take a lot of photos are noticers. They pay attention, they notice what others walk past. I just loved that. When I take photos I don't feel like I'm missing out, I feel like I'm even more present, taking it all in, remembering it and storing all the memories for the future.
Thank you Terri for providing a great challenge and an outlet for our creativity and to share the photos we love.
