Taking in Life Around Me: Sunday Stills.....Theme: Leaf Peeping
This #sundaystills challenge is hosted by Terri from Second Wind Leisure. It's a great themed photography challenge that you'll enjoy. I love seeing the other participants interpretation of the theme each week...it causes me to think outside the box. I joined in hopes of it pushing me to get out and take more photos...I have to some degree, but I also like that Terri is okay with us finding photos in our archives, which is also a lot of fun. So check out my photos and then head over to Terri's page to participate or visit other's posts. There are some awesome contributors who always inspire me.
It's already time for another challenge? I think "this week I'll have extra time to get around and comment....." and the next thing I know it's Sunday again. Sorry. I will get back to them. I love what everyone posts and usually find time to play catch up on past weeks.
This weeks challenge is "leaf peeping". Ooooooh I love leaf peeping. We've taken two trips for the sole purpose of catching leaves at their peak. One trip to The NE States in 2023, and just recently to Colorado. You can look up my NE states posts in the trip section of the blog. I'm still working on my Colorado posts.

Did you know there are fall foliage sites. We used this one for our NE States trip. I also found this one that lets you pick states. There are others too, even the Old Farmers Almanac. While I don't enjoy the rain that comes to the PNW in the fall, I absolutely love fall for it's changing colors, pumpkins, gourds, you name it.
The hill driving up to our road is one of my favorite places in the fall. It's always pretty, but in the fall or when it's covered with snow...next level pretty.
Let's start our leaf peeping with colors close to home. The first three are of a local lake that is beautiful all year, but fall is amazing. These are from a few years ago. I didn't get there this year.
Above and below are the hill going to (or from) our home. Pictures don't do it justice.
A neighbors field and tractor. The colors are really popping this year.

Amazing pics of fall foliage, Kirstin! Whatever year they're from, they're gorgeous! The Colorado views are jaw-dropping! You took leaf-peeping to the next level.
