Autumn evenings were always special when I was a kid.
The day ended early and the family gathered in the living room where my mother and grandmother watched a little TV and my father sat on the sofa reading and smoking his pipe. My parents enjoyed a cup of coffee and sometimes a snack.
1. Does your life go along in the same way all year or do things change with the seasons? Yes, pretty much the same...I always chuckle when people talk about schedules or other different things with different seasons, especially summer (like...my summer reading pile)...I'm like, my days all look the same unless I'm taking a vacation. I work the same amount of days. I try to do things on my days off depending on the weather, but often it all just keeps on going. In the PNW, the weather does change so I suppose in the sense that in the colder, wetter, darker seasons, we slow down a bit, but that's about it.
2. Do you have a favorite meal on the chilly night? Anything from the crockpot. I love a good, hearty soup. Taco soup, chicken soup with dumplings, tomato tortellini soup. They hit the spot. If I can make them in the crockpot that's an even bigger win because the smell lingers.
3. Do you have a snack while you watch TV or read? Sometimes, it's usually popcorn if I do, or maybe ice cream. It's usually only if I'm watching a movie or TV. I often read in bed or in the bath.
4. Do you have a fireplace in your home? We have a gas fireplace that I love. It's so pretty. We were drawn to it by the pattern and the name "tree of life".

That is a beautiful gas fireplace. Wow. We've considered having one like that installed - I just haven't checked it out yet. My husband would have to give up his oversized leather recliner, and I don't believe he is ready to do that yet. Enjoyed your answers!
