Tuesday Four....Let's Blog

Let's Blog!

It's time again for Tuesday 4 hosted by Anne from Cottage by the sea.

Published each week in memory of Toni Taddeo, it's original author. We keep Toni Taddeo's original idea alive here with 4 questions each week to get you blogging, visiting and  learning about yourself and other bloggers.   The more people join in, the merrier and the better it gets. We are always looking for topics, subjects and ideas so feel free to chime in if you have idea.

How about talking about blogging this week since it's something we all do anyway.  Get yourself a cuppa, come sit down at your computer and let's think about blogging for a bit....

Blog is short for Weblog, a log or diary on the World Wide Web or internet.   Your journal or diary can hold personal stories, ideas, opinions of all kinds and can be private or public as you wish.  It is an excellent way to document your life or interests.

1. Why did you begin blogging?  I began blogging in 2007. I don't even remember how or why. I think I somehow found a few people online and thought it was a fun idea. Here's a link to my first post. It has ebbed and flowed over the years depending on the season of life I was in. I began blogging as a creative outlet and I thought it could be a fun way to keep family (mostly my grandma) updated on our life. I'm honestly not sure anyone in my family reads my blog..haha!

2. What benefits does blogging offer you? It has offered me a creative outlet and a way to connect with others. Had I thought about it in the early years and had a niche maybe I could've made money off it.

3. Have you made friends from blogging? Yes I have. I have met several fellow bloggers and a few I would even call friends. Not to mention those that participate regularly in link parties and comment on my posts and I on theirs.

4. Where do you get ideas for things you blog about? When I first started I blogged a lot about our daily life and our home building process. I also participated in some link parties. Once my girls were older I wasn't sure what to write about. I don't have a particular niche. I write about our vacations, maybe a recipe or tip. Right now, it's a lot of linky parties. I don't have a lot of time to really sit and write posts that are informative, educational or very "deep".  Do other bloggers influence you? Yes definitely. I love being inspired by others and what they bring to the blogging world. I learn so much from others. Sometimes in how I want to blog, but mostly what they can teach me about life, perspective, etc.

With Joy Unquenchable,
Kirstin

  1. You have been blogging for a bit longer than I have and we share amazingly similar ideas about blogging and lack of time for deep or informative posts. I hope you will continue to enjoy the creative process.

  2. It's not always easy to come up with a topic is it, but it's fun to read what is happening in others lives and getting to know them a little.
