Taking in Life Around Me......#Sundaystills: Trees

This #sundaystills challenge is hosted by Terri from Second Wind LeisureIt's a great themed photography challenge that you'll enjoy. I love seeing the other participants interpretation of the theme each week...it causes me to think outside the box. I joined in hopes of it pushing me to get out and take more photos...I have to some degree, but I also like that Terri is okay with us finding photos in our archives, which is also a lot of fun. So check out my photos and then head over to Terri's page to participate or visit other's posts. There are some awesome contributors who always inspire me.

It's been over a month since I participated in Sunday Stills. Our household is full with our oldest daughter and her family living on our property. It's been wonderful but spare moments without grandkids around are rare so not a lot of opportunities to sit and blog, which is totally fine with me. I'm getting better at not having FOMO. The thing I really don't want to miss out on is the time I get with them while they're here. Their house should be done and ready to move in by November/December and while they'll only be about 10 minutes away, I'll soak this time in. I'll participate when I can.

The other day I had a chat with myself and said "who says it has to be a long, drawn out post with a lot of photos. It can just be one photo. A lot of people do that". So that may be what I do on some weeks. We'll see.

This weeks theme is trees. I love the beauty and diversity of trees. Wherever we go, we're bound to find new species of trees or a variation of the familiar ones. We've done several tree posts for SS so I tried to find some newer ones.
I took the above photo and asked Chatgpt (I don't use it for much) to turn it into a Beatrix Potter scene.

Last fall my husband and I went to the Newberg area of Oregon and spent time visiting several small towns and enjoying places we hadn't visited. The trees were beautiful as it was early November.

This tree in one of the vineyards reminded me of the tree that sits in my aunts vineyard in Ohio.

In May, my hubby and I went to Florida for business and pleasure. The palm trees are always kind of fun to see.

We have several older trees on our property and they needed to be trimmed up.
We've had this young man out twice and he did a great job.

Trees along Lake Erie. I love my visits here.

The trees are home to many and this bird or others like it definitely spent time on this tree on my aunts property.

One of my absolute favorite things is a tree lined streets. In Longview Washington there are several neighborhoods with streets that look like this and I LOVE it. I would love to live in a neighborhood like this, if I had to live in a neighborhood.

This is the lake that is near those neighborhoods and it is beautiful.

The last few weekends we've done some hikes. The above photo my hubby sent me on his hike last week. The vastness of the forests is incredible.

I took the above and below photo on our hike two weeks ago. I wish I would've taken some in the forest but I was busy trying not to die from exhaustion...lol.
With fire season raging on, I will never take for granted the beauty all around us, because we never know when something might happen.

Several years ago our daughter had went on a hike to the Popular Angels Rest trail in the Columbia River Gorge. A week later it was ravaged by fire and unrecognizable. I couldn't find any photos she had taken but you could always google it. So heartbreaking.

With Joy Unquenchable,
Kirstin

Hi Kirstin, you've shared some amazing trees this week. How lucky to have your family staying with you and then living close by! Savor all the moments! I also love the tree-lined street you shared. Reminds me of the street near downtown Sacramento where my office was in the community center. Have a great week!
