Let's talk about food this week shall we? Yes, lets, because I love food...cooking it and eating it.
Most people enjoy eating good food after all. One of my favorite things to do is try foods that are local to regions or places that locals like to go. I'm always looking for new recipes to try.
1.What is/are your favorite foods to eat ? Well darn, I have to choose? I don't have a favorite. Maybe I do, I just really don't like to tie myself to a favorite. I LOVE pasta, homemade bread, fried chicken, ribs and seafood.
2.How often do you cook at home and what kind of meals do you make? I cook at home 98% of the time. Sometimes, depending on what we have going on we'll go out or we'll order pizza from our local corner store, but not that often. I cook a variety of meals. Sometimes it's a simple salad with a protein on it, sometimes a crockpot meal (especially on days I work) or some other recipe I want to try. I enjoy trying new things.
3. When you go out to eat what foods do you find yourself ordering most? Again, it will depend on where we are. If it's a place known for good burgers, I'll order one. I will often get fish and chips, or a pasta dish. I sometimes try to order things I wouldn't or don't usually make at home.
4. Can you recommend a restaurant in your area? There are two restaurants in our town that I will always recommend. One is just called The Corner Store (it's on a corner), and the other is Matt and Mandy's Diner. There are others but these two are ones that aren't run of the mill. Why do you like it? The Corner Store has amazing pizza and sandwiches and salads. They also have local products for sale and produce. They're not cheap, but they're good. Matt and Mandys is a cute diner filled with photos of military personnel given to them by customers. The food is really good and there's something for everyone.
Thanks for joining in!
