Tuesday Four...A Cozy Home

A Cozy Home

It's time again for Tuesday 4 hosted by Anne from Cottage by the sea.

Published each week in memory of Toni Taddeo, it's original author. We keep Toni Taddeo's original idea alive here with 4 questions each week to get you blogging, visiting and  learning about yourself and other bloggers.   The more people join in, the merrier and the better it gets. We are always looking for topics, subjects and ideas so feel free to chime in if you have idea.

It's another Toni Taddeo Tuesday 4.. even though I keep hitting the 5 when typing.

Here it is a chilly Sunday evening and summer seems far off but I hope your home is warm and cozy... Speaking of cozy, here are some questions  about a cozy home.

1. What’s one feature in your home that makes it feel especially cozy or comfortable for you? I've probably said this in other posts, but my favorite part of our house is the new addition. The new sitting area with it's green wood wall and gas fireplace makes it so cozy. Add some ambient lighting, and I love the space.

2. How do you like to personalize your living space to reflect your style or personality? I like to mix new with old. My hubby is more of a buy everything new kind of guy, but we've found compromise. I always see so many things I like but I don't want a cluttered space (I'm not always the best at dusting), so I try to only buy things that I need functionally or that I LOVE and can't stop thinking about. My two walls in the above room are bare because I'm trying to find just the write things to put on them (which drives my hubby nuts).

3. Are there any home maintenance tasks you find particularly important for keeping your space comfortable year-round? Keeping up on all maintenance tasks is so important. Servicing our A/C, our septic, making sure things are picked up, dusted, swept. We don't have pets, but if I did, vacuuming daily would be HUGE. I do NOT like pet hair everywhere.

4. What’s your go-to way to unwind or create a relaxing atmosphere at home after a long day? I love to soak in the bath. I have a deep tub that is long enough to be cozy, a back pillow and it's so relaxing. Also sitting in reading. If it was winter, I'd have the fire going or candles lit. In summer, keeping the house cool. In the new addition, we don't have a TV. It's in the other side. I wanted this side to be more for gathering and quiet. After a long day of being with people (which I do love), I enjoy a quiet space free of TV noise. I might listen to music, but that just depends. For me, also going out and watering my plants is relaxing.

With Joy Unquenchable,
Kirstin
