Taking in Life Around Me....Sunday Stills: Sunrise-Sunset

This #sundaystills challenge is hosted by Terri from Second Wind LeisureIt's a great themed photography challenge that you'll enjoy. I love seeing the other participants interpretation of the theme each week...it causes me to think outside the box. I joined in hopes of it pushing me to get out and take more photos...I have to some degree, but I also like that Terri is okay with us finding photos in our archives, which is also a lot of fun. So check out my photos and then head over to Terri's page to participate or visit other's posts. There are some awesome contributors who always inspire me

Keeping with the theme of national outdoor month, this weeks themes are sunrises and sunsets. Two of my favorite aspects of nature!

"Every sunset is an opportunity to reset. Every sunrise begins with new eyes".

A few weeks ago I traveled to Ohio to visit my family. While on the mainland with two of my aunts, we took a nightly walk to the marina and the sunset was so pretty. I failed to get any sunrises or sunset photos while on the island.

When my hubby and I were in Florida last month we caught some amazing sunsets.

This was on our road when I went out for an early morning walk before it started raining. We live in a kind of "hole" so seeing the sunrises or sunsets are not a common thing right from the house, if I can get cool colors in the sky, I'm happy.

Another amazing place to catch the sunsets and sunrises is what we call "the bottoms", mostly farmland along the river. This was at the pumpkin patch...those colors are amazing.

I'm also extremely blessed to live fairly close to the pacific ocean. We visit there regularly! Some beaches are close enough to make a day trip, others are better for a few nights stay. Above is Seabrook, Washington from the front porch of the house we stayed in. This beach town is further away and we go once a year when my daughter and son in law do a retreat and we help with the kids.

While I live in Washington, the Oregon coast is by far my favorite, however, I will say, when we went up to the Olympic peninsula, the beaches there were very pretty.

This drink reminded me of a sunset!

I'll end with a Waikiki sunset!

May you experience sunrises or sunsets wherever you are!

With Joy Unquenchable,
Kirstin

Wow, stunning sunsets and rises, Kirstin! Really incredible captures! The Ohio marina, the city in Florida and your sunrise walk are my favorites.
