Wednesday Hodgepodge
2. A time recently where you felt 'antsy'? Hmm. I'm not sure. I'm not usually an "antsy" person, I'm not a real worrier. Antsy is defined as being restless, fidgety and impatient, sometimes accompanied by a sense of nervousness. I guess antsy can also mean excited about something. Perhaps I'm antsy to have our daughter, son in law and grandkids back in town. They will actually stay in a 5th wheel here on our property while they wait for their manufactured home to be placed on their property, which could be several months. We're looking forward to that. There is a lot they have to do and hopefully it all goes well.
3. As the saying goes...'when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.' Do you like lemonade? I do like lemonade. We also just bought a little lemon tree at the farmers market. I can't wait to see how it produces. They are meant to be in containers. When did you recently need to make lemonade out of lemons, figuratively speaking? Sometimes questions catch me off guard and I can't think of answers. I'll say a few weeks ago...I went out to my car before work and my tire pressure light was on. I went to Les Schwab and had them put air in it and said I'd have my FIL bring it by later since I had to get to work. While I was at work, I looked and saw a screw in the tire. My FIL came and got it, took it to LS and brought it back. The next morning I woke up to leave to go to my daughters house and the light was on again. I didn't have time to stop at LS, so I pulled into the gas station and put air in it myself ($2 later). I called Les Schwab again and brought the car in the next day. They supposedly fixed it. A week, maybe two weeks later, the light came on AGAIN. I brought it back. They found 2 screws....I don't know where I was picking up screws...I don't know if those were there all along and they missed them. I don't know. I guess the lemonade part of this was, things like this rarely happen, and I was able to keep a fairly good attitude about it.
5. Favorite thing about the 'space' you're sitting in right now? It's cozy, inviting, quiet. I can hear the birds outside.
6. Insert your own random thought here. My hubby and are going to Tampa, Fl for a work conference. It's for his work, and we are going to go 3 days before the conference to just do some things by ourselves. During the conference, I'll have to entertain myself during the days of the conference, but will join him for the dinners and evening events. I'll do some reading for sure. I don't really know what, if anything is in walking distance from the hotel. I may or may not bring my computer, I haven't decided. When I was doing online VA work, it always was with me, but now that I'm not doing that currently, I'm wondering if I really need to take it. Chances are I will...I could use to clean up some things on it, etc. The first 3 days we are there, we are going to stay at a condo in Ruskin. I want to visit Ana Maria Island and Cortez where there is a mercantile I want to visit. Other than that, I'm not sure what we'll do. If you are in Florida or have visited those areas and have suggestions, I'd love to hear them.
Two of the nights there is a theme. One is pirate and the other is Kentucky Derby. I'll share photos of what we wore after we're back.
I may or may not participate next week...it will just depend on if I have time and if I feel like it!
How wonderful to have your daughter and her family moving close to you! I'd be antsy for something good like that too. Hope you have a wonderful time in Tampa, it sounds like a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm excited.
DeleteIt will be nice to have your daughter and her family nearby! The tire situation sounds aggravating, but hopefully is resolved now. I hope you have a wonderful time on your Tampa getaway!
