Wednesday Hodgepodge
In college we spent a lot of time sitting around the picnic tables...or working at Napa's Distribution center in Portland, Oregon. (below)
2. January 26 is National Green Juice Day ( I guess it's true everything really does have it's day). Do you juice, as in make your own in an attempt to get healthy? Yes, we do juice occasionally and have a juicer. We've gone through phases of juicing a lot and then sometimes very little. It is messy, and can take time to clean up but I do think it's worth it. Do you do the green juices? yes, I have done green juices and green smoothies. What's your favorite kind of juice (home blended or store bought, either one)? I love fresh juice from home, or from a juice bar..store bought can be okay, but sometimes there are too many other additives. I do love orange juice, that's probably my favorite store bought. If I'm juicing, there are several combos that are good. Apple Pear is good...I've juiced a few fruit combos with beets and like it. Celery, carrot and apple are decent. Over the years, I've acquired a taste for juice and can handle quite a few flavors.
3. What's something trivial about which you have a strong opinion? Hmmmm...I don't know that I'm an overly opinionated person (maybe others would disagree)...maybe it comes from my people pleasing nature, and not liking conflict that I don't often voice my opinions..let me think on this one...Okay, I would say the way I have my kitchen organized. I have things in places that work for me since I'm the one who does 98% of the cooking. Sometimes my hubby will move things around and it does drive me nuts.
4. What do you need more of in your life? Time to do all the things I want to do. More discipline to get back to exercising. More confidence to try new things. Less of? Procrastination, less worrying about what others think.
5. Give us three adjectives to describe your January. Cold, Dry, Sunny! All related to weather!
6. Insert your own random thought here. Last Saturday I went to a dot paint and sip class with a friend from work. It was very fun. I purchased a beginners kit so I can do it at home. It was very relaxing and enjoyable, though I was hoping I wouldn't mess anything up. Here's what I made below. I am challenging myself to try new things. You can find kits online if you good mandala dotting kits on Amazon or Etsy.
This week is my last week as a VA for a friend and blogger that I've worked for the last, you know, I want to say 10 years...wow. She is needing to make some changes and cannot pay for VA services right now. That will be a strange transition. I am sad, because it was fun, but I think it will give me some time to focus on some other things. I'm going to take a few months and focus on other things before deciding if I will try to find other VA work or maybe look for something else to do online to make some additional money, OR just not do anything. We'll see.
What fab photos. It sounds like whatever you did after school was fun.
ReplyDeleteYes! My fella moves things around in the kitchen and it drives me crazy! That's my space, leave it alone. lol
That painting is so pretty.
Thanks Kim!
DeleteMy hubs tries to organize me sometimes lol. He knows better, but can't help himself. He is a natural born neatnik so it just comes naturally to him. It's good to take some time to evaluate what is going to work for you going forward time wise and interest wise. Good luck with figuring it all out! Have a nice day!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm not the only one!
DeleteOh that dot paint canvas is so pretty. Love the colors.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty
DeleteWhat an interesting job- being a VA to a blogger. It will be interesting to see what you decide to do. I hope you land on something you love! That dot paint canvas is really neat. You did a great job!
ReplyDeleteIt is fun. I mostly schedule her social media content.
DeleteEnjoyed reading all your answers today! I'm not a very organized person - or at least not that anyone else could tell - but it annoys me when things don't get put back in the places I want them in my kitchen. Thankfully it doesn't happen very often. Love your dot painting - it's so pretty! Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kym.
