Tuesday Four....And When October Goes....
"And when October goes
The same old dream appears
And you are in my arms
To share the happy years
I turn my head away to hide
The helpless tears
Oh, how I hate to see October go".. Barry Manilow
It's time again for Tuesday 4 hosted by Anne from Cottage by the sea. Published each week in memory of Toni Taddeo, it's original author. We keep Toni Taddeo's original idea alive here with 4 questions each week to get you blogging, visiting and learning about yourself and other bloggers. The more people join in, the merrier and the better it gets. We are always looking for topics, subjects and ideas so feel free to chime in if you have idea.
1. What do you hate to see go? I hate to see the long days go! Also, in the PNW we don't see as many blue sky days in the fall/winter, so I miss those as well. Today, however, was beautiful. I went for a walk around the lake where my daughter lives.
2. How's the autumn weather in your part of the world right now? As I said I'm in the PNW (SW region of Washington State), and the leaves have finally turned beautiful colors. The rain has started moving in as well as colder days. It's a good thing the colors around are so pretty because all the dark and rain is a bit hard for me.
3. Anything on your reading list for autumn? Nothing fall related, though I do want to read a fall cozy to get into the season. What are you reading/watching right now that you would share with us. Right now I'm reading a book for our book club called Someone Elses Bucket List. I'm trying to focus on that because I'm really far behind. I was struggling at first with it, but I'm starting to like it. I'm not really watching anything right now, but I just googled Fall movies on the Hallmark Channel, so may find a few of those to watch.
4. For many religion keeps them going. with promises of better things to come. But there are other things that help along the way. What things/people/thoughts, keep you going on your way? I am a Christian and have been for probably close to 40 years...wow. So most of my life I have been able to walk in a peace and trust that no matter what happens God is walking alongside me through it all. I'm not a doom and gloom end time focuser...and in my 40 years, my beliefs have shifted quite a bit. Aside from that music, podcasts, books, friends, my family and my grandkids all help keep me going. It also helps that I have a pretty laid back, even keel personality that isn't too easily frazzled.
I enjoyed the scenic photos so much! I agree with you about the gray and wet days. The older I get the harder it is because it seems to affect my health these days. I hope this year is a bit drier for us both!

ReplyDeleteFall is the most beautiful time of the year! I love it for its colors, and the pleasant weather. I love this time when I can put on my wool cardigan and go for a nice trip to the forest or park.
