Taking in Life Around Me: #Sundaystills theme: Monthly Color Challenge
This #sundaystills challenge is hosted by Terri from Second Wind Leisure. It's a great themed photography challenge that you'll enjoy. I love seeing the other participants interpretation of the theme each week...it causes me to think outside the box. I joined in hopes of it pushing me to get out and take more photos...I have to some degree, but I also like that Terri is okay with us finding photos in our archives, which is also a lot of fun. So check out my photos and then head over to Terri's page to participate or visit other's posts. There are some awesome contributors who always inspire me.
This month is our monthly color challenge and the color is Orange or Peach or probably any color in between. While orange isn't a favorite color when it comes to clothing, I love it in nature and even some home decor. Peach, not so much (except nature).
I'm pretty excited that I thought about the theme ahead of time and took some current photos....now bear with a few of them because I took the photos and then when I looked later I thought, those don't look orange, even though they were.
Sunday we were in Hood River, Oregon and ate at one of the food trucks on the waterfront. I decided this Pina Colada slushy was perfect. The orange slice along with the spiced salt on the rim.
Then while I was taking pictures of the people on the water I spotted this orange (insert...I don't know what it's called).

I brought this rock home because it looks like it has a heart on it, and it's kind of got an orange hue to it.
While in Seabrook, Washington there were so many houses with orange chairs or orange doors...so much orange!!!
This was an outdoor roller skating rink..had to snap the orange.
I know these look more red (top and bottom) but really, they're orange...can we just call them burnt orange?
Again, top and bottom were clearly orange in person, but they just look red, so just pretend with me.

Love the rock in the water Kirstin
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteThese are all excellent! And there are SO many shades of orange. :) Could that unknown thing on your lake photo be a raft? Love the motorcycle with the orange wheels! And you can never go wrong with a sunset shot.
ReplyDeleteThank you Debbie!! No they are a type of wind surfing device, I just don't know what they are called.
