Taking in Life Around Me....#SundayStills : Waiting for Peace

This #sundaystills challenge is hosted by Terri from Second Wind LeisureIt's a great themed photography challenge that you'll enjoy. I love seeing the other participants interpretation of the theme each week...it causes me to think outside the box. I joined in hopes of it pushing me to get out and take more photos...I have to some degree, but I also like that Terri is okay with us finding photos in our archives, which is also a lot of fun. So check out my photos and then head over to Terri's page to participate or visit other's posts. There are some awesome contributors who always inspire me.

December seems to be the season that represents peace..I mean we sing about it. Yet, I think so many are filled with stress, anxiety, unrest. No peace. It can stem from many things. I'm sure even Mary was feeling many of these things as she was about to give birth and they hadn't found a place to do so. Yikes! I could NOT imagine. That's how life is...sometimes we don't always tap into the peace that's always there for us.

Terri's theme for this week is "waiting for peace". I wasn't sure what I'd choose for this week...I'm still not 100% sure.

Nature is my happy place....well, when the weather is cooperative. I'm a fair weather nature fan. But being out with my camera and just enjoying the surroundings brings me peace.

A beautiful sunset and sunrises speak peace to me. I could linger with them forever because they constantly change the look of the landscape as they go through their phases.

My uncle took this photo near is house on the bay in Ohio (can't remember the bay). It just exudes peace. I kicked myself for not getting my own photo while I was there visiting.

Well, this message will definitely add peace to your life if you choose to live by it!

I felt so much peace being out in the vineyard picking grapes and just being with family. The island they live on is small, peaceful and relaxing.

Nature again ushers in peace to those who take the time to receive it.

Honestly...a nice hot cup of coffee is peace for me!

Doing things with my family, even if it's busy, brings me a sense of peace.
My home brings me peace (almost always), especially when it's decorated for Christmas and I have the propane stove going.

Reading brings me peace. Sometimes when the day has been long, or I'm feeling stressed..I read. I have always been a reader.
Baking and cooking bring me peace (again, most of the time). The smells, working with my hands. There's just something about it.

Other things that bring me peace:

*My faith
*The relationships I have (I don't do drama)
*The boundaries I have chosen to set for myself
*Walking and exercise
*Working on puzzles
*Blogging

With Joy Unquenchable,
Kirstin
