Putting Fingers to Keyboard....#WQ : Layered

It's another week of  Wednesday Quotes, hosted by Marsha from Always Write. If you're interested in joining, you can find more about #WQ here.

This weeks theme is layered.

"Layers.....we all have them!" ~Natalia Anja

Ain't that the truth. But sometimes we try to hide those layers. We only want the outer one to be seen.

Don't we always say, "if I knew then, what I know now"...we say "I'm finally figuring out who I am". Uggh. If only we had done the work years ago, that many of us as we get older are doing now. Usually because of an experience that caused us to question all that we knew.
It's always neat to see the layers on a stump.

This site in Ohio on Kelleys' Island is called Glacial Grooves...the layers of rock created when a massive Glacier came through.

Each quote I picked resonated with me in some way. Gave me some food for thought and I hope they have given you some food for thought as well.

Someone created many layers when building this fun "fort" in the woods, in Seabrook, Wa.

"Exploring the layers of the earth is like reading the pages of a book."
~James W. Mercer

Driving along on the beach near Seabrook, Wa, I spotted these layers in the side of the hillside.

Layers in my French Pressed Coffee, but also in the cabinet.
Dressed in layers at the beach is a must.
I was truly happy here, but it's also true that sometimes there are so many layers to "us" and we don't always let people see everything that's going on inside of us.

With Joy Unquenchable,
Kirstin

    1. Thanks Terri! The glacial grooves are cool, but it was funny how they just seemed so much bigger when we were little.

  2. Lots to love here, Kirstin. Your smiling face is always a welcome sight. I've never seen glacial grooves like that before. I also love your fort picture. I'm not sure about going inside, though! :) Have a great week. :)

  3. Kelleys Island looks like a place we should visit, since it's in our state! Those are really interesting photos. I love the French Press photo too, and of course the lovely photos showing your pretty smile! Lots to think about in the quotes you chose and the thoughts you added - we all have so many layers to our personalities, and to what makes us tick. Have a great week!

    1. You should definitely visit. So many neat areas to visit. Summer is very busy, and at some the ferry will stop running. I have a couple of posts I think about our trips if you search the blog, or find me on FB and you can see my albums...Kirstin Bozich Troyer
