Putting Fingers to Keyboard: #WQ....Theme: Bold

It's another week of  Wednesday Quotes, hosted by Marsha from Always Write. If you're interested in joining, you can find more about #WQ here.

Gosh, I don't know what it is, but lately I have struggled to get my posts done. I find the quotes but then writing the post seems to get put on the back burner.

This weeks theme is bold. Bold is one of those words that can describe a color, a type of decor, a personality, even as a way to describe food or coffee. It can be the way we approach life, a new task, something we're a bit afraid of. We encourage our kids to be bold and confident, though sometimes we don't take our own advice.

Bold = showing an ability to take risks (person, idea or action), a strong or vivid appearance, dark, heavy strokes used for emphasis (like in writing/typing),someone daring to be brave.

Are you a bold person? Me? I'm not sure that I am, at least not that often.
Do you like bold colors? Me? It depends on what it is. I don't care for bold colors in clothes, but I love bold colors in nature.
What about bold flavors? Me? It depends on what it is!

Each of the quotes I share below really resonated with me to some degree! I chose, because of time, and also intentionally, to not comment on each quote, but to let them speak for themselves. Enjoy!

Murano and Burano are full of bold colors!

Bold fall colors in my flower arrangement and bold flavors in this boozy popsicle.

I love these colors, but that pop of bright green really stands out "boldly"!

This bookstore in Venice makes a bold statement on it's welcome sign. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It was such a quaint and unique store. If you can't read the bottom part, it says "welcome to the most beautiful bookshop in the world". Now that statement caught my eye when I was searching for places to visit when we went on our trip. Because it's in Venice, many books are sitting in boats and canoes so when it floods, they'll float. I have more photos in this post

With Joy Unquenchable,
Kirstin

  1. I really love the photos you've chosen to go with this - bold, beautiful colors! And some great quotes too! I like bold colors, bold flavors, but I'm not always bold myself. By the way, I often have trouble with putting together my posts too, where I know I'm spending too long and it could just be shorter. :sigh:

  2. I agree with Kym. Those are lovely pictures. You have been bold enough to travel. Not everyone is. I think you are bolder than you think - and you wore orange the day we spent exploring together! LOL What is bolder than orange, the combination of two VERY bold colors. :)

  4. You pulled together some great quotes and photos to go with them. The timing thing with blogging I so get. Sometimes the words just flow and other times not so much. Bernie
