Taking in Life Around Me.....#SundayStills....Theme: #Mysterious

This #sundaystills challenge is hosted by Terri from Second Wind LeisureIt's a great themed photography challenge that you'll enjoy. I love seeing the other participants interpretation of the theme each week...it causes me to think outside the box. I joined in hopes of it pushing me to get out and take more photos...I have to some degree, but I also like that Terri is okay with us finding photos in our archives, which is also a lot of fun. So check out my photos and then head over to Terri's page to participate or visit other's posts.

This weeks theme, is around "the mysterious". I was on vacation and had thought the theme was more "halloween based" so took some photos of decor, then when I came home I checked the challenge page (I'm not always good at doing that to see if there were changes", and it was changed to "mysterious"...I found a few things I thought would work. I'd look for more, but am feeling a bit under the weather and it was a crazy Sunday so here's what I got.

Fog is always a bit mysterious isn't it? I love foggy mornings at the Pumpkin Patch.

This was a mystery....gender reveal when my daughter was pregnant with her first baby....who is a BOY.

When I was visiting family on Kelley's Island in 2020 this house caught my eye, check out the top right window. They were still there this last August when we were there. There are many legends of places on the island being haunted. There are a few houses that when we were little, that for some reason we believed were haunted.

Sometimes night carries an air of mystery. When I passed by this photo I thought it looked a bit mysterious.

More fog and large trees on the farm.

And my ultimate mysterious photo...this is old, I obviously didn't take it. I'm the girl on the right. However, for the life of all of my family who is alive, we cannot figure out who the other little girl is, and what is up with the man in the background holding a purse...haha! My mom would probably be the one who knows, but she is no longer with us so that isn't going to happen. We've had fun making up stories of who we think it is.

With Joy Unquenchable,
Kirstin

  1. Creepy, mysterious, all of the above, Kirstin! Great shots all, but the one that stands out for the theme is the shot of you as a little girl. I'm sure there is a great story behind that pic! Do you get trick-or-treaters where you live? Enjoy if you do (we don't)...more candy for us, LOL!

    1. THanks Terri....I don't know if I'll ever learn the story. We don't get them so I don't bother with candy.

  2. Fog is just inherently mysterious. Love the tractor and the trees one. Perhaps the man was holding a treat bag - it appears to be a giant Easter basket behind you? Bernie

    1. I agree. Yes...that basket is at that spot at the lake and it is decorated for different things.
