Taking in Life Around Me.....#SundayStills....Theme: Glass

This #sundaystills challenge is hosted by Terri from Second Wind LeisureI've also been loving visiting the blogs of the other participants and being inspired by their interpretations of the theme. Sometimes I'm a week late commenting but I do try to visit everyone. After all, if you take the time to produce something, you sure hope people visit.

I'm back from vacation and glad to be back to regular posting. I'm still playing catch up. Just uploaded photos from my camera but haven't edited them yet. I want to make a schedule for posting about our vacation because we did so much. Not sure I can do it daily, but I'm hoping to get several posts done a week...we'll see. If you would like to see photos from our trip you can head to my personal FB page, Kirstin Bozich Troyer and find them there.

I'll also say, WOW, I came home to quite a few comments on my post last week...that was fun. Usually it's just Terri who comments. So if you came by last week and commented, thank you so much.

This weeks theme is Glass. I tried to be intentional on our trip to find some photos that would work but I realized I didn't take as many as I thought. Oh well...enjoy what I have.

When Marsha and Terri and I went to Fort Vancouver, I took some photos of some of the glass bottles and jars I saw on the shelves. The top and 4 following are from that trip

What was probably considered the "Apothocary" at the Fort. So cool.

This water was like glass in spots. I love the reflection on the water.

On our trip to Plymouth, Ma, these old lights were bolted on the walls..I'm guessing they had been used in the lighthouses?

Oh my goodness..the windows in the buildings were beautiful. I wish I would have gotten more photos. I went back and did find a few more I had taken.

The larger ones look like Mickey Mouse.

I loved the hearts in the windows.

How gorgeous are those colors. Wow.

The churches with their stained glass were amazing.

These were we pretty hanging outside a store in Montpelier.

The next 3 photos were in the Boston airport. How cool are these blown glass displays. I was trying to find some glass sea floats we have here at home but for some reason, I can't find them anywhere.

Behind the glass at the Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory were these cool color frogs along with many other creatures.

I'm looking forward to putting together some posts from our recent trip to the NE States. We did so much, I'm hoping to do a post for each day. We'll see how that goes.

With Joy Unquenchable,
Kirstin

  1. What a great post filled with so many types of glass, Kirstin. Like another blogger said in her post, we sure take it for granted. You got some great shots of the fort rooms and even some great close-ups--now why didn't I do that? Great to read you are getting more comments! Have a great week and fun editing your photos!
