Tuesday Four...House and Home

House and Home

Hello and welcome to Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4

It's time again for Tuesday 4 hosted by Anne from Cottage by the sea. Published each week in memory of Toni Taddeo, it's original author. We keep Toni Taddeo's original idea alive here with 4 questions each week.

Let's share our home secrets with one another.   Maybe you have  some ideas other ladies would love to hear about.

1.   What household tool or appliance do you rely on a lot? Does coffee maker count? Lol. Definitely our blender gets used daily. I also rely on my crockpot and instant pot. I'm sure you'll all list things that inspire me to add to my list.

2.   Which laundry detergent, fabric softener, and dish detergent work best for you? I have to find one that is suitable for septic systems. Right now I use arm and hammer. I'm trying to find one that is more natural and won't break the bank.

3.   What soap do you like to use?  We use African black soap, and soap made by a local gal. We go for pretty natural soaps. I've been trying to clean up my cleaning and beauty products over the years. Our skin is our biggest organ so I want to be aware of what is going on it. Where do you have soap in your home... bathroom, kitchen, shower? bathrooms (sink, by bathtub, in shower), kitchen sink.

4.   What is the secret to a clean home in your opinion? Staying on top of things. I like my house clean but if you came over, you'd find some cobwebs, dust, etc. It's not spotless, but it's clean. I try to stay on top of putting things away and not letting anything pile up, especially papers and dishes. I used to have a plan when I was home of what I cleaned on certain days. I should get back to that because it's so easy to go down rabbit holes of other things and then I don't get anything done.

I just need to sit down and think of my days each week and when I have time to do certain jobs/chores and put them on the calendar along with things to do monthly, yearly, etc.

With Joy Unquenchable,
Kirstin
