Tuesday 4.....Reading and Watching
1. Is there a hero or character on TV, in a book or a movie .. or even on all three, that you are especially like? Oh boy. I don't know that there is a particular hero or character that I especially like. I don't even know if I really pay attention or I just can't remember at the moment. What do you find attractive about them? I like characters who are for the underdog, kind, even with a serious job, they can have humor. I like someone who is an unlikely hero, or the wallflower who is confident in who they are.
2. Was there a book that was better in movie form? How about a movie you thought didn't live up to the book? Like I said, I'm not a big movie watcher, so I definitely don't watch movies because of the book or read the book because of the movie.
3. When you choose a book, program or movie which subject it is most likely to be: science fiction, mystery, romance, comedy, documentary, etc.? I like most genres of books and movies, but I'm not a fan of sci-fi or horror! It usually depends on my mood. I love reading fiction because it doesn't require me to really think or process what I'm reading, but I'm also a fan of non-fiction as well. I love documentaries if it is something I'm interested in. What draws you to a particular book or movie? Usually the description, reviews, recommendations.4. How important is the title or picture on the cover of a book? I'm definitely drawn to titles and covers, however, I will read the description before I buy it. I follow a wonderful gal on IG and she NEVER reads what the book is about before she buys it. She wants to be surprised. How much importance do you place on a movie because of the actors who are in it? Some, but it's not the most important thing. More important to me is what it's about.
Not very exciting answers, I know. I think if I had more time to really think it through my answers would change. But I do love a good book or movie...I'm a sucker for Hallmark, and I can be found watching animated or Disney movies...yep! There are a few movies (very few) that I'll watch several times, most others, once is enough.
