#WQWWC....October 13 Theme: Autumn or Fall

It's another week of  Writer's Quotes Wednesday, hosted by Marsha from Always Write. If you're interested in joining, you can find more about #WQWWC here.

This weeks theme is Autumn or Fall. What do you call it? I have always called it "fall". One of my favorite seasons. You'll find me saying that about every season. Fall is my favorite because I love the changing colors of the leaves, the pumpkins in the pumpkin patch. I love warm, cozy meals, cozy clothes, and all that jazz. I DON'T like all the rain we get in the PNW, but it's part of the season and what makes our state it's lovely green so I deal with it.

I agree with this so much...I love driving down the hill by our home and watching it change daily and weekly as the leaves change their colors.

Walking up our hill. I had hubby take a picture because of my Nature Backs shirt...lol. My daughter is an ambassador for them so I think I wanted to tag her in it to encourage people to buy. I don't remember.

“September is dressing herself in showy dahlias and splendid marigolds and starry zinnias. October, the extravagant sister, has ordered an immense amount of the most gorgeous forest tapestry for her grand reception.” — Oliver Wendell Holmes

I love dahlias. They are probably one of my top 5 favorite flowers. Zinnias are stunning too. I also love the idea of "forest tapestry" too. I love seeing the colorful trees amidst the evergreens on the hillsides. So beautiful.

Reds, golds, oranges, yellows. All my favorites when it comes to fall.

“October is crisp days and cool nights, a time to curl up around the dancing flames and sink into a good book.” – John Sinor

One of the things I'm excited about in the new part of our home is our gas fireplace. We purchased it so many years ago and it is called "The Tree of Life". I'm looking forward to sitting and reading a book in front of it. Maybe in December....we'll see.

On our recent vacation the house next door from our vacation rental had this stately tree with stunning yellow leaves. I snapped a photo one morning, and by the time we left, the leaves had fallen. I love to observe falling leaves as well....so beautiful.

Anyone else love cider? I do, but I also love a good caramel apple with chopped nuts. Yum!!! It is true, that the heat of autumn, when it comes (which isn't always often here in the PNW), if different than summer heat. But it feels amazing and I find myself going out and lifting my face towards the sun.
