Taking in Life Around Me......#SundayStills....Theme: Indoor/Outdoor Decor

This #sundaystills challenge is hosted by Terrie from Second Wind LeisureI've also been loving visiting the blogs of the other participants and being inspired by their interpretations of the theme.

The theme this week is indoor/outdoor decor. However, this year I didn't decorate for fall because we are in the middle of a remodel and our porches are chaotic and I just didn't have it in me to drag everything out of storage. So I'll hunt for a few other photos. I don't decorate for Halloween (other than carving pumpkins when girls were little). I don't like all the creepy stuff.

My front porch several years ago. I love stacking pumpkins. So fun!
The front porch at my son in laws parents house, where they have a pumpkin patch. His dad and aunt paint gourds and mini pumpkins to sell. So cute. I have several that I've purchased over the years.
Decorated barrel at the pumpkin patch. So many awesome varieties of pumpkins.
Another pumpkin patch decor spot. They have several areas set up and it's always fun to see what they come up with and it's great for getting ideas.
My front porch last year. I kept it pretty simple. Gathered some branches and leaves from around my yard.
These were older indoor photos. For some reason I couldn't find any recent ones.
I made these cute "pears" using twine, old light bulbs and pieces of a stick. Find out how here.

I do love decorating for fall and can't wait to decorate again next year.

With Joy Unquenchable,
Kirstin

  1. Kirstin, first of all, I Love all these autumn images...I don't go for creepy Halloween décor either, especially now that my girls are grown and we see few trick-or-treaters--I prefer the harvest theme, like you! Secondly, how cute are your DIY gourds!! I will have to save that idea for next year. I don't blame you for keeping a low decorating profile this year--construction/reno life is exhausting! My theme next week is eerie, not creepy so I look forward to your creative posts! Have a great week!

    1. Yes...it takes a lot out of you...I was just thinking about how I'd do the take on eerie...maybe I'll play with some edits. That would be fun.
