Taking in Life Around Me....Sunday Stills....Color Theme: Glacier Blue
This weeks #Sundaystills theme from Second Wind Leisure is, "Color Challenge: Glacier Blue". Find Terri's current post here.
This one was a tough one for me but that was good because part of wanting to join in on photo challenges is to stretch me a bit. The main struggle here was it was hard for me to get out and about to look for photo ops. But this morning while I waited for my sourdough starter to be ready I took a ride around town to see if I could find anything that could be interpreted as "glacier blue". I'm also adding a few photos I've already taken.
On our visit to Texas last November we visited the Fort Worth Water Gardens....they are so pretty and worth visiting.
As I drove around town today looking for some interpretation of the color theme, this roof caught my eye.
The sky was actually blue today!
A few years ago my youngest daughter and I drove up to Mt. St. Helens....so pretty!
These chairs were at a gorgeous lavender farm in Hood River, Oregon.
Lake Thun in Switzerland was gorgeous. I was trying to find a few other photos but couldn't.
This lake on Kelly's Island Ohio was a pretty blue green.
I can't wait to see how everyone else interpreted the theme and learning how to be more creative and think outside the box. I really wished I would've been able to head to the city to find more opportunities.

You did find and share some beautiful blue images, Kirstin. I particularly like the water faucet for its color and simplicity as well as the one of your daughter jumping in front of Mt. St Helen's.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I was driving by one of the cemeteries and saw the faucet and had to stop and turn around. i'm thinking next weeks will be easy....lol....fog, clouds...perfect for the PNW.
DeleteHi Kirstin lovely to connect with you. I love those blue chairs and you were very creative with your take on Glacier Blue. I hope to join the next #SundayStills and as you say next week's fog and clouds is something I can do! Have a great week. Sue from Women Living Well After 50
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue. They were such pretty chairs....we love that area in Oregon and visit it often.
DeleteLovely selection of blues :) I love the lakes and your daughter jumping in front of the mountains, great shot!
ReplyDeleteThank you Cathy. We started making it a "tradition" that whenever we are anywhere that makes for a good shot, we do this....she jumps and it looks like she's way up high. It's been fun.
DeleteThese are beautiful, Kirstin! I love the one of your daughter and the blue chairs look welcoming :)
ReplyDeleteThank you. We 've made it a tradition with her to do these whenever the landscape works. it's been fun. I have quite a few. This lavender farm is VERY welcoming and so peaceful.
