Sweet Shot Tuesday

This is a Sweet Shot not because it's a spectacular, professional photo, but because it was #1 taken by amazing 12 year old daughter (who thinks she might like to be a photographer someday) and #2 it was quite possibly a once in a lifetime moment...possibly, I hope not though.

A few weeks ago we had the privilege of taking our youngest daughter's soccer team to watch the US National Womens Soccer Team play against Canada at Jeld-Wen Field in Portland, Oregon. My daughter talked me into bringing my camera. While I was not in a great seat to take pictures, we managed to get the first two rows to the right of the goal box on the 100 level (I was in the second row), Nan had the best seat so the camera was in her hands (after the usual instruction of "around your neck please").
After the team scored it's first goal several members ran towards the stands in excitement (straight to where the girls were sitting). Nan snapped these shots. I think she did pretty well and what a memory she captured! They also made the news on several channels! I'm going to try to post a video link and if it works you can kind of see them at about the 3:09 minute mark in bright orange jerseys to the right of the goal!! Our local news channel panned a closer shot but I've never found the video anywhere.
I'm linking this to Sweet Shot Tuesday.

  1. Good job, Nan! What lens were these taken with? Geek questions, I know :)
