What We've Been Up To

One thing we have not been up to is enjoying internet in the comfort of our home...still not up and going. I really do miss all of you!! Life has been going great though....I don't expect it to go anything but "great" since most of it all has to do with my outlook on it. We have started school...well, okay (just last Wednesday was the first day, so this is the first full week). It is going well. The girls enjoy what they're doing and I'm happy with everything. I still need to find a foreign language program but think I'm going to go with Learning Languages Russian (yes, Kat wants to learn Russian). Soccer is also in full swing with both girls practicing on different days...making practices go mon-thursday. Yikes!! Games are on Saturdays but Kat can also have games on Sundays. That makes for lots of running around. Last week Kat had a game in one city at 1:30 and Nan had one at 3:00. Her game was 45 minutes away from Kats, so as soon as Kat's was over we "hurried" over to Nan's, getting there right after half time. Phew was I tired...and hungry....I hadn't eaten anything since Kat and I left at 9:00 (we were going to do some shopping first). We got home around 5:00 and I BBQ'd up some chicken, baked potatoes and veggies...it's important to me that even in the busyness of life we don't get caught up in "convenience foods". While dinner cooked I put out some cheese and crackers to snack on. A few weeks ago the girls and I went down to what we call "The Bottoms"...along the farms and river...and took some pictures. It was so much fun and my girls are a blast to photograph! I canned some spaghetti sauce a few weeks ago that I think turned out good. It was a bit on the sweet side (next year I WILL NOT add any sugar), but I know I can tweak it when it's time to use. I've also been making fresh salsa to enjoy with crackers, chips or wraps. My garden is about done. I keep picking tomatoes and today got a few more zuchinni. Do you all till your gardens under or just let them go? My back is now back to 100% and I exercised today for the first time in two weeks. It felt good. I've also lost about 5 pounds in the last few weeks...Whoo hoo!!! I'm sure there is so much I'm missing but that's about all I can think of at the moment. I'll catch up more later!! Must go to the store and home to make dinner for me and the girls. Hubby is having dinner with a friend tonight.
I LOVE MY GIRLS!!!!
With Joy UNquenchable,
