Works for Me Wednesday: Summer Library Reading
It's another Works for Me Wednesday over at We are THAT Family. I haven't posted for a few weeks because I couldn't think of anything to post....kind of sad I know. But today I thought of something.
My girls enjoy reading, but that wasn't always the case, and sometimes they don't read much. Our library offers a great summer reading program for all ages. The younger kids get a booklet with fun puzzles and other things to do. They color in shapes for every 20 minutes they read or are read to. After so many hours they bring it in and get a coupon for a free ice cream. The older kids get a "book report" form type of paper and for every hour they read they mark it up. After 10 hours they bring it in and get a free movie ticket. They have to fill out the form first.
My girls have been reading non-stop! What a fun way to keep your kids engaged over the summer.
With Joy UNquenchable,
