An Interview with my Aussie Friend Kate

One thing I love about blogging is all the "friends" you meet. I know there are people who think this type of technology is ridiculous, but I say "whatever works". So Kate sent me some questions to answer here and I will do that. If you'd like me to send you some "interview" questions just e-mail me or leave a comment and send some your way.
My internet is still down and I'm actually at our church tonight and will hopefully post a few  entries tonight and tomorrow night when I'm down here. It's so sad to not have internet at home. I can get it through my iphone (which I got 2 weeks ago and love) but I haven't figured out if it's possible to post on my blog..I don't think so, and my facebook is very limited. Sigh......
So on with my questions from Kate. By the way...please pray for the wildfires in Australia. Not a good thing!

1.  If you could have your absolute favourite meal, what would it be?

Oh, boy!! This is a tough one. But I'm going to say 4 cheese chicken fettucini with mushrooms, broccoli and shrimp, garlic bread, salad with bleu cheeese dressing and peanut butter cake for dessert. That's just what came to my mind...I know...not very "gourmet".

2. How did you become a Christian, and how has that changed your life?

I became a christian over 24 years ago...yikes...and I will never be the same. It wasn't a "radical",saved out of drugs, or whatever, but it was a realization of who God was and I desperately wanted Him in my life! I have experienced freedom like I've never known. I know my "daddy's love" and know who I am in Him. More and more I'm realizing who I'm called to be and that is simply His daughter, walking in all that He has for me to walk in. It's made me realize that the same power that raised Christ from the dead lives IN me, and I can walk in power, confidence and boldness in who I am and who He wants others to be. I want others to see and know how very much He loves them, not for what they do, but for who they are.

3.  Where in the world would you most like to visit, and why?

Oooohh....I'd love to drive around the United States visiting each and every one. But I'd love to visit Italy, and of course it would be fun to visit Kate in Australia.

4.  What skill would you most like to learn?

I think I'd like to learn how to sew so that I could make beautiful things for my house. I'd also love to learn how to draw. The other thing would be to really "learn" how to take photos correctly. But I really need a "photography for dummies", because I really don't understand all the "lingo".

5.  Who has most inspired your life?

There are many who inspire my life everyday. My mom inspired me to truly "live" even in the most dire situations (she passed away  years ago at the young age of 54). Jesus' life inspires me daily. My friends and family inspire me as do all those I visit daily in the "blogging world". I am truly blessed everyday by those I'm surrounded by.

I know those aren't real deep answers, but they are the answers that come to my mind at the moment. Maybe I'll edit this later if more thoughts come to me.

With Joy UNquenchable,

  1. Kirstin I didn't realize your mom was only 54. Mine was only 54 too! Weird huh? That is one of my goals now - to live longer than my mother! I can remember her feeling the same way, as her father died of a heart attack at 52. She made it but just barely.

  2. Thanks for anwering my questions.

I'd love you to visit me! I'd love to get our girls together too.

My mum got breast cancer at 54, but she survived, fortunately.
