Slow Cooking Thursday: Sausage and Beans

This is one of my favorite recipes during the summertime, but really can be for any season, any event. The original recipe called for it to be made in the oven, but I adapted it for the crockpot so it was easier to take to potlucks.
Hot Sausage and Beans
1 lb. pork sausage, cooked and drained
Place on bottom of crockpot, then add:
1 can pork and beans
1 can lima beans, drained
1 can kidney beans, drained
1 can green beans, drained
1 can yellow wax beans, drained
1 can tomatoe soup
1 can tomato paste (small can)
1 Tbs. Mustard
1 c. brown sugar
Cook in crockpot on low or high (whichever you prefer), until heated through.

  2. This sounds good, Kirstin. Did you use ground sausage, or kielbasa type sausage? I'm thinking of putting this on my menu next week.
