Good Morning!

GOOD MORNING EVERYONEThe snow is still about 6" deep outside and it snowed again last night. The trees are covered and are absolutely beautiful. My house smells like caramel corn (it just came out of the oven) and I'm about to start on the peanut brittle. I'll try to post the recipes and pictures if I'm lucky tonight.
All activities for church have been canceled for tonight and tomorrow night to the utter disappointment of my girls. They are at grandmas right now frosting and making cookies. I'm sure the minute they come home they will be in the snow. We're still hoping to go forward with the birthday party, even if hubby has to go pick everyone up. The only other things we're baking for the holidays at this point are: Peanut butter fudge (can you tell we like peanut butter), candy cane cookies, white chocolate cranberry cookies and a pumpkin roll. Usually I do quite a bit more to give away but there just wasn't time.
For Christmas Eve it'll be my famous Clam Chowder and salad. Christmas day will be chicken cordon bleu, potatoes, veggie, salad, rolls and later in the day ham sandwiches. I really wanted to do something totally different. I may add some ravioli in there too...we'll see.
Hubby and I are heading to town tomorrow to finish up Christmas shopping. I'll go next Monday or Tuesday to get the food (which I'm sure everyone else will be doing as well due to last minute shoppers and the weather we've been having).
I must say that our little Suzuki XL-7 is a gem. We just turned 102,000 miles on it, but that little thing does awesome in the snow. Too bad it doesn't hold three more people. It has gotten us up and down our hill with no problems whatsoever. Good job little car!
Have a fabulous day.
With Joy UNquenchable,

  2. Dear Anonymous...the first link didn't work. I would be very interested to know why you chose to send me this...maybe I know you and you don't have a blog and thus why anonymous....anyways, you can feel free to e-mail me or go a little more in depth. this caught me a bit off guard because it is a bit random for the post you commented on.

    Thank you
