Fall is just around the corner
It's Fall Nesting Week over at The Inspired Room. If you have never checked out Melissa's site, you need to. She just inspires you to be creative.
My trick with this Nesting Week, is that I don't have a house at the moment. We have been living with an older lady from our church for 2 years while we build a house and it has been 2 years since I've decorated anything. Can you believe it? It has not been easy, but I will eventually have a house again to decorate. And I can't wait. In the meantime I plan to get lots and lots of ideas from everyone else and anywhere I go.
Which brings me to this post. In 2006 my hubby and I went away for a long weekend to Leavenworth, Wa (about 3 hours from hour home in SW Washington) to a beautiful Bed and Breakfast called Run of the River.
If you want a place to go to get away, this is it. A bit spendy, but very much worth it. The food is amazing and the decor! Wow, I want to go during every season. Check out their website and blog for an idea.
I thought I'd share some pictures from the outside of the B&B. For some reason I never took inside pics. You'll have to go to the website for those. These inspire me to be even more creative in my seasonal decorating!
Oh, but first...if you're new to visiting my blog, the first two pics are of our house. Can you just see it all decorated for fall? I can! The first picture is the front of the house. The second is of the back. NOTE: This is not the entire house...it is only the first phase. We are building the rest later. You can go to the home building category and see more.
I love this house!
The owners of this B&B are so creative! Enjoy the pictures.
I love this idea!!

ReplyDeleteThese are great inspiration photos! So creative!
Thanks for joining in Fall Nesting Week! I'm really enjoying getting in the Fall mood earlier this year! Seems like I am in a summer mood from April - August so if I don't get started early on Fall, I miss it!

Your house looks beautiful already...you will have a blast decorating, once you get in there:)
ReplyDeleteI love the pics from the B&B, too!

What great Fall inspiration! Love the house! :) ~Rhonda
ReplyDeleteAre you rubbing it in? :)
ReplyDeleteThe only fall decorating around here will be watching the trees change colors :) I am looking forward to that, though.
ReplyDeleteLast year, we had a Christmas tree in the camper. This morning I was rethinking that brilliant idea :)
Good work on the house - you will be in there sooner than you know!
Blessings!
Shirley
Oh man, I wished I had planted some pumpkins this year- thanks for sharing all the great photos!
ReplyDeleteI love fall too!! Although we don't get real fall weather and good leaf color changes until Thanksgiving. I am jealous of you all who get it sooner!
ReplyDeleteI love the pumpkin on the bike. I just bought an old bike with a basket at a flea market. I planted flowers in the basket, but will now add pumpkins and mums at some point this fall. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteCatherine

Very pretty..............!!!!!cherry
ReplyDeleteFirst...the decor isn't mine )C: wish it was. It was from the B&B I linked to.
ReplyDeleteDebbie...did it work? Are you jealous? Actually...our nights are chilly, but the days have been hot...so much for my soup idea.
Thank you all for visiting. How fun to meet new people.
I love your new house! What a nice big porch you'll have. And the dormer is great.
ReplyDeleteGot a big smile out of the bike with the pumpkin on the seat. -Julia :-)
Thanks for the autumn inspiration. It's such a shame it's spring here! I'd love to decorate with pumpkins.
ReplyDeleteKate
That B&B decor is amazzzinnnng! I'm am totally "borrowing" some of those ideas. I have my dad's old flexible flyer sled...I don't think I'd want to leave it outside but I think I might do the pumpkin display inside.
ReplyDeleteYour soon-to-be house looks awesome! I love that you're building something that has style and looks historic. All of these fall pumpkins will look fabulous on your porch next harvest season. :-)
Great post! Your home is going to be darling. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteThat Inn is gorgeous :)
Happy Fall!
