Works for Me Wednesday: Rosetta Stone

It's Wednesday and you know what that is....it's another episode of Works for Me Wednesday hosted by Rocks in My Dryer! I have gotten so many great ideas from this...whatever it's called! Last year I wanted my girls to learn Spanish. Several people recommended Rosetta Stone. Great, I thought! Then I saw how much it cost and went....okay, never mind! But then...(drum roll please), someone informed me that many library systems have online databases, and if you are a member, you can access those. Many just happen to have Rosetta Stone. So I checked out my own library system and much to my dismay found out they don't have this in their database. Once again I was saddened, but alas someone else informed me that often times you can access other library system databases..ooohh I was excited again! I checked several systems in our area until I found one that has it and they work in conjunction with my library system. Soooo all I had to do was apply for one of their cards (for free), and I now have access to Rosetta Stone via their online database! For Free!!! So check out your local library database and see what's available to you! Now if only I can get motivated to get busy and get them on the site. With Joy UNquenchable,

  1. I'd love to hear how it's working! I've always been horrible at learning languages and I've heard that Rosetta Stone works even for people like me. :)

  2. This could be so helpful to moms wanting their kids to learn another language. Normally Rosetta Stone is really expensive.

I have a monday meme for homeschoolers that you may be interested in joining.

  5. You can get rosetta stone at our library too but its all Tink can do to learn the kings English, so I decided not to start her on spanish!!

  6. Rosetta Stone is phasing this out. They will not renew any licenses, so it will only be a matter of time before your library's is not renewed.
