Works for me Wednesday: Craigslist and Ebay
Have you ever sold or bought anything on Craigslist or ebay?
Well I had never even thought about it a few years ago until someone pointed out the benefits of it. And now I love them! I use Ebay mainly to sell and buy my homeschool curriculum and do very well at it.
I use Craigslist for everyday items that I need to get rid of, and I do quite a bit of searching as well. They are great online tools? And a good way to sell things for a little more than you might sell them or just by having a garage sale. For example a few months ago, I sold an elliptical machine for $200. I probably wouldn't have gotten that at a garage sale.
Sometimes I've had things on there (like a juicer we never used) for a long time with no results, but that's okay, I just keep listing them. We actually sold our last home on Craigslist. How bout that! And for our asking price. So give it a try, you might be surprised.
With Joy UNquenchable,
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'll try to post a few Salmon recipes soon, we love it too!
ReplyDeleteAnd I am a huge Ebay fan with 200+ feedbacks, although I sell more than buy. It's a great outlet for SAHM's.
And the great thing about Craigslist: it's free!! And I had never heard of someone selling their house on Craigslist- what a great idea! Guess I was always looking for cheaper items on there, Lol.
You are right, Craigslist and Ebay are awesome. I use Craigslist more because there are no listing or selling fees. We bought the 40ft 5th wheeler we live in on Craigslist for a lot less than if we had gone to a dealer!
ReplyDeleteKeep the tips coming!
Kristin, your package has arrived and Miss E loves it. She is already planning her next package for your girls. Thank you so much. This is fun, isn't it?

Kate,
ReplyDeleteYeah! I'm glad she liked it. It is a lot of fun...the girls had fun putting things together. I hope the CD worked.
I love craig's list and ebay. I have only had one bad experience in 10 years of doing ebay so I think that is pretty good!
ReplyDeleteHi Kirstin - we just sold our car on Craiglist! Easy as pie! :)
ReplyDeleteI've sold a ton of things on Craigs list and I am on hiatus from Ebay...their changes in seller fees were a real turn off for me...but I do have some things that I will end up listing ...I just know it!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Robin
I've tried to sell our car on craigslist off and on with no hits.
ReplyDeleteI only use ebay about once a year when I'm selling or buying homeschool books. I don't think I'd get as much for them on Craigslist so I just suck it up and use ebay!
our church is getting ready to expand. our pastor has asked each of us to auction off something we no longer need or use. the money will go toward the building fund. like that saying goes, someones trash is someone elses treasure.
ReplyDeleteblessings,
missy
I advertise my tutoring services on craigs list!
