Menu Plan Monday

Well the beauty of being flexible with a menu plan is that when it doesn't work...no worries! Last week I think I only made 2 of the 5 things on the list. The other days we just did "whatever" due to our schedules. Thursday we had went out to eat and ended up with leftovers, so that was dinner for Friday. I think I've decided that instead of planning per day, I will plan what meals I will make in a two week period and when I know better what that day holds I'll decide then what will work best. Usually a daily plan would work fine, but our lives are just not 9-5 and sometimes need to be spontaneous. So, for the next week, these meals will hopefully get made and eaten:

Salmon, roasted potatoes, asparagus and brussel sprouts

Chicken soup and rolls

Pot pie, salad

chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy and veggie

elk stroganoff

taco salad

Split pea soup

We'll see how it goes.

  4. Sandra, I love chicken pot pie...so much that I'd even eat it cold. Yikes! It is definately one of my fave comfort foods. Yours looks very similar to mine. Creamy, not too runny and loaded with great stuff. I'm hoping to include the recipe and and pictures later this week.

Jasmine, Elk is very good and good for you because it is not very "fatty". It doesn't have a strong flavor like deer. My hubby doesn't do well with beef, so when friends give us elk, this is a nice switch from our usual turkey.

I also can't wait for the taco salad. Yum-O. I love the crunchy, non greasy shell (see my post from last week...I think under Kitchen tip tuesday.
